Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing PDF Workspace - OCR Scan Edit (“the App”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to you (“you” or “User”) when you access or use the App or related services provided by us (“we,” “our,” “Company,” or “Service Provider”). Please read, understand and agree to these Terms before using the App. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Introduction
These Terms govern your access to, download of, installation of, and use of the App and the features, content, and services provided therein. The rights and obligations that arise between you and the Company in connection with your use of the App are subject to these Terms. The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, pause or terminate the services and these Terms at our discretion.
2. Service Description
2.1 Features
The App is a PDF tool offering the following primary features:
Split PDF: divide a single PDF document into multiple documents.
Merge PDF: combine multiple PDF documents into one document.
Save PDF: save the processed PDF on your device (depending on functionality and interface availability).
2.2 Subscription Benefits
Ad-free: after subscribing, in-App ads will be removed.
Unlock all features: unlimited use of features including create, OCR, split, merge, save.
2.3 Free Trial
For the monthly subscription, the Company offers a 3-day free trial. At the end of the trial period, if you have not canceled the subscription, it will automatically convert into the paid subscription according to the applicable billing cycle.
3. User Conduct
When using the App, you agree to comply with the following rules:
You must not upload, convert, split or merge any PDF file that infringes third-party intellectual property rights (including but not limited to copyright, trademark or patent), unless you have lawful rights.
You must not upload, store or distribute any content via the App that is unlawful, obscene, infringing, fraudulent or otherwise inappropriate.
You must not reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, crack, imitate or unauthorizedly modify the App or its features.
You must not abuse or repeatedly exploit subscription discounts or other mechanisms to avoid paying.
You are responsible for backing up your files; we are not liable for any consequences arising from damage, loss or abnormal format of your PDF files.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service if you violate the above rules.
4. Subscription and Payment Terms
4.1 Pricing
Weekly Subscription: US $3.99 per week.
Monthly Subscription: US $9.99 per month; promotional price US $5.99 per month.
Annual Subscription: US $24.99 per year.
4.2 Free Trial
The monthly subscription includes a 3-day free trial. At the end of the trial, it will automatically convert to the paid subscription unless you cancel prior to the end of the trial.
4.3 Auto-Renewal
All subscription cycles are set for automatic renewal. Your App Store account will be charged at the end of each period unless you cancel.
To cancel, you must use Apple’s subscription management tools at least 24 hours before the end of the current cycle. Your subscription will continue until the end of the current period and then not renew.
4.4 Promotional Pricing & Switch
The promotional monthly price (US $5.99) is controlled by an operational backend switch. If the promotional activity ends or the switch is turned off, the monthly subscription will revert to the regular price.
4.5 Refund Policy
Please note that, except in statutory cases or as required by the Apple Store policy, once paid, a subscription is considered accepted for that billing period and is non-refundable.
4.6 Payment & Taxes
Subscription prices may include Apple’s required taxes or may vary by region depending on whether Apple or the Company collects taxes.
5. Intellectual Property
All content in the App and related services (including but not limited to software, code, graphics, logos, trademarks, documentation, and user interface) is owned by the Company or its licensors. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your device only. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, publish, sell, sublicense or create derivative works.
6. Termination and Account Suspension
We reserve the following rights:
If you breach these Terms or the User Conduct rules, we may suspend or terminate your access to the App and services immediately.
If your subscription is canceled or payment fails, you will lose subscription benefits and revert to free service mode.
After termination or suspension, you bear any risk associated with the data, files or use of features; we are not liable for any resulting loss or damages.
Your obligations under these Terms (such as payment obligations and user responsibilities) continue even after termination of the agreement.
7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied (including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for:
Any loss arising from your use or inability to use the App’s features (including direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or special losses);
Any dispute, infringement, data loss or damage arising from your uploading or handling of PDF files via the App.
You understand and agree that your use of the App and its services is at your own risk.
8. Privacy Policy
We value your privacy. Information regarding your uploaded content, usage behavior and device data may be collected via AdMob SDK and Firebase crash monitoring tools for service improvement, feature optimisation and error monitoring. 9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of changes via in-App notice or other announcements. If you continue to use the App after modifications become effective, your use will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China / United States (depending on the Company’s place of incorporation). In the event of a dispute, the parties should first attempt good-faith negotiations; if unsuccessful, either party may submit the dispute to the competent court where the Company is located or an agreed arbitration institution. If the App operates in multiple countries/regions, local laws may also apply.
